The Ethnic Life Stories Project--A project created and coordinated by Jim Mauldin which celebrates cultural diversity through oral histories. The project consists of 38 books containing the life stories of individuals now living in Springfield who were raised with diverse cultural backgrounds. The oral histories of Temple Israel members Hymen Lotven, Regina Lotven and Malca Flasterstein can be found in this collection.

Telling Traditions--A research project by Rachel Gholson, Assistant Professor, and Mara W. Cohen Ioannides, Lecturer, English Department, Southwest Missouri State University which seeks to "uncover, chronicle, and transmit the legacy of Jewish women of the Ozarks in collaboration with Temple Israel and the Ozarks Studies Institute (OSI)".
